Exhibition of New Sydney Airport Master Plan 2039

Sydney Airport is seeking to update their existing master plan 2033 to cover a 20-year period 2019 to 2039. The draft master plan 2039 has recently been placed on exhibition until 20 November 2018.

The master plan includes a new Australian Noise Exposure Forecast (ANEF) for the areas around the airport affected by air traffic noise.

The draft ANEF 2039 shows an extension to the 20-contour line as compared to the ANEF 2033 please see document attached below: (Comparison of 20-contour line ANEF 2033 and ANEF 2039). This extension of the ANEF 20-contour line affects a number of properties in Hunters Hill.

Council is concerned about the proposed change to the 20-contour line and has received a preliminary briefing from Sydney Airport and has also scheduled a briefing from a representative of the Sydney Airport Community Forum.
