Post Exhibition Update - Gladesville Planning Proposal

The Gladesville Planning Proposal was exhibited from 21 February to 20 March 2018. To date 132 submissions from the general public and government agencies have been received.

These submissions have been reviewed by council staff and contact made with government agencies where further clarification of issues was required.

Council staff also reviewed the following State Government documents which were released on the 18 March 2018 and are relevant to assessment:

• A Metropolis of Three Cities - Greater Sydney Region Plan
• North District Plan
• Future Transport 2056

It is anticipated in August 2018, a report on the planning proposal will be published on Council’s webpage. This will occur two (2) weeks prior to the relevant council meeting to allow all parties adequate time to read the report and prepare for the meeting.

In late July 2018 all those who made a submission will be provided with the exact dates the report will be published and the relevant Council meeting date in August. At this meeting Council will make a recommendation on the planning proposal which will be forwarded to the Department of Planning and Environment. The Department of Planning and Environment is the determining authority for this planning proposal.

If you have any further queries regarding the planning proposal or the process moving forward please do not hesitate to contact council’s senior strategic planner Philippa Hayes on 9879 9400.
