Street Tree Pruning from 10 July

Ausgrid will begin this week trimming trees across the Hunter’s Hill Local Government Area.

Ausgrid trims trees to keep branches a safe distance from powerlines and help prevent power outages to your home or business.

Australian Urban Trees Services (AUTS) carries out tree pruning work on behalf of Ausgrid. AUTS will trim to standards that achieve the necessary safety clearances and to ensure the trees remain healthy. Clippings will be stacked neatly and removed in the days following trimming.

Work is expected to take up to four weeks to complete.

Ausgrid is authorised to undertake this work to Council-owned and privately-owned trees under state legislation, and prune in accordance with guidelines for managing vegetation near power lines (PDF 1.1MB).
