NSW Volunteers Award

NSW Volunteer of the Year Nominations

Hunter's Hill Council is particularly proud of the contribution that volunteers make to all aspects of our community life.

Volunteers are the life blood of our community and are often unrecognised for their valuable selfless commitment. Hunter's Hill Council recognises and appreciates the week in-week out contributions that volunteers make – there’s hardly an area of life which is not helped by volunteering and many valuable projects and programs simply would not exist without the support of volunteers.

The NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards is the state-wide Awards program for the 2.4 million volunteers in NSW. Now in its eleventh year, the 2017 NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards are organised by The Centre for Volunteering, the peak body for volunteering in NSW and are proudly sponsored by NSW Department of Family & Community Services, ClubsNSW, Bupa Aged Care, Etchcraft and Thrifty Car & Truck Rental.

The 2017 NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards program is run at Regional and State levels, with 20 Regions across NSW. Regional Awards are presented at ceremonies across NSW from August to September culminating in the State Awards ceremony held on Friday 8 December to coincide with the United Nations International Volunteers Day held on 5 December.
